THQ Nordic’s Desperados 3 Gets Release Date For PC And Consoles Plus A New Trailer Featuring Hector Mendoza

Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Mimimi Games have announced the release date of their upcoming game Desperados 3. The latest game is a prequel Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, released in April 2001.

Desperados 3 is a prequel to Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive starring John Cooper. In the prequel, Cooper will join up with a runaway bride, shad hitman, giant trapper, and a mysterious lady from Louisiana. Cooper is on a quest for redemption. His journey will take him through rural towns, swamps, riverbanks, and then a “dramatic showdown worthy of Wild West legends.”

The release date was accompanied by a trailer showcasing John Cooper, the gunslinger making his return from Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive. Also recently released was a new trailer featuring Hector Mendoza. In the latest trailer, Mendoza uses his beloved bear trap “Bianca” to capture enemies and use his axe to finish the job. The trailer includes the song “About To Get Crazy” by Oh The Larceny.

In Desperados 3, There are five unique characters to choose from. Copper can use with a knife or with his dual revolvers. Other characters include Strongman Hector Mendoza who uses a giant bear trap and an axe, Bounty Hunter Doc McCoy uses lures, knockout gas, poison syringes, plus a long-range pistol, while Kate can use different outfits to lure men close and then attack with a hidden gun. Isabelle Moreau is a mysterious character from New Orleans, and her skills are not yet known.

Players can use their team to strategize and overcome each challenge. There are large enemies to defeat, but characters can choose from lethal and non-lethal attacks. If the game becomes to hard, players can adjust the difficulty.

Previously announced was a Collector’s Edition of the game that comes with a five 6-inch figurines, official artbook, official soundtrack on CD, eight postcards, the game itself, a music box that places music from the game, and the Season Pass with 3 DLCs inside a premium box. The DLC will be released after the game launches and features a brand new mission that takes place after the events of the main game.

The Digital Deluxe version comes with the base game, all three DLC missions, and the digital soundtrack extended version with 75 tracks for around 2.5 hours of music. During the pre-order phase, the Digital Deluxe Edition is available for the same price as the Standard Edition.

Desperados 3 launches on June 16 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
