Bethesda’s strategy card game The Elder Scrolls: Legends is preparing to launch in multiple Asian countries later this year. The game has been available free in North America for months now, but often the Asian localizations of the online games take longer.

Along with the announcement was a special message from the TES: Legends team that was subtitled in Japanese.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends is a strategy card game based on the world, lore and characters of the award-winning The Elder Scrolls series. Featuring many familiar faces, creatures, locations and abilities across Tamriel, The Elder Scrolls: Legends is as much a game of magic and monsters as it is tactics and skill.” states the game’s official summary.

The Asian release of the game will be similar to other versions currently out. Players can enjoy all of the stories that take place in The Elder Scrolls universe for free. Along the story roue, players will learn how to play the game, plus the rules and basic operation of the game. Players will also have the opportunity to earn special reward cards to use in battle.

The battle pass system “Hero Pass” allows both core and casual players to earn resources, regardless if they win or lose. Players can earn gold and other resource rewards more quickly this way.

The pre-release of the game has included the Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and soon in Japan.

Currently, The Elder Scrolls: Legends is available to pre-register in Asia. The official website for the Asian release has all of the latest information and any related registration campaigns before the game launches.
