Those who played Borderlands 3 understand the frustration of sitting through those long cutscenes.

Fortunately, Gearbox is listening to your complaints and planning to release a workable solution soon. It should be mentioned, however, that not all fans mind the cutscenes. In fact, YouTube has several compilations of Borderlands 3 cutscenes. One video is more than five hours long, for instance. The length speaks volumes on just how many cutscenes are present in the game.

According to the patch notes released on Oct. 24, the designers are thinking of the best way to drop cutscenes. Unfortunately, it is not that simple. As the note says, the process is “much easier said than done.” Taking them out may negatively impact the game progression. The cinematic scenes help move the story along, and the missions may be affected.

With that said, the designers have several solutions in mind to address the conundrum. They also expect to release a solution “soon.”

Among the other changes in the Borderlands 3 November update are the character buffs, particularly Iron Bear, the pets of FL4K, and the digi-clone. The designers found out that the characters are not working as expected in Mayhem Mode. With that, expect additional damage they cause depending on the skills and gear.

Meanwhile, Gearbox is also tweaking the loot pools to make it easier for fans to find gear in Borderlands 3. Each loot is assigned to a particular boss, which makes it easier to obtain an item. Right now, they are still trying to determine which gear would be assigned to which boss. However, they assure that this problem would be addressed before the November update comes along.

The studio is finally listening to community feedback, as the bank will be expanded in the upcoming patch. In fact, the designers have already started coding to expand the bank. You can expect the first changes to drop during the Takedown at Maliwan’s Blacksite update. With the patch, your storage will more than double to store more items. Gearbox will continue to monitor the feedback to determine the expansion size.

Also, in the Takedown at Maliwan’s Blacksite, a new mode level for Mayhem will be unveiled. Fans will face even stronger enemies but with better rewards to use for their character builds. During Mayhem 4, the participants will have a chance to obtain new Legendary gear.
Borderlands 3 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and Google Stadia.
