WB Games has done a pretty good job concealing details on their next Batman game. Luckily, fans wondering what's in store for this beloved universe knew something big was on the horizon at DC Fandome this weekend. Boy, were they right. Not only was Batman: Gotham Knights revealed, but so was Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. That's not too shabby of a list and should make for some fun combat opportunities considering how each one has different skills. The main antagonist is none other than the Man of Steel himself, Superman. Talk about a formidable opponent. The Last Son of Krypton is usually the beacon of light for Metropolis, but not in this trailer. This version is evil as indicated by his red eyes. There isn't much context describing what has turned Superman evil, but the game will surely get into those details later. Many didn't see this as a surprise because if you've paid attention to WB Games' Twitter page, they teased Superman as being the main target for Suicide Squad a couple of weeks prior to this cinematic trailer. It's a great concept that changes up the typical formula we get in superhero games. The Arkham games have been tremendous, but fans have always wanted to reverse the roles if not for the sake of parody. According to a description of the game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be set in the same universe as the Arkham games. Whether that means we'll see some appearances from Batman remains to be seen, but from a flow standpoint, it's a good choice from Rocksteady.
