In addition to these, Gang Hideouts and Free Roam Missions and Events keep presenting good bonus rewards. If you had been grinding for RDO, now is a good time to double up on it.
The tweet from Rockstar has not just been showered with praise; rather, it exploded with chaotic commentary with almost immediate flooding by the hordes demanding news on GTA 6 and complaining about cheaters in RDO. A player, @Heropars1, went so far as to state that they had uninstalled the game because Rockstar isn’t doing enough to punish hackers. Talk about harsh! Meanwhile, @DopeDeni begged for private lobbies and better anti-cheats, claiming that DirectX 12 is practically a freeway for mod menus. Looks like some are fed up with this wild west that is supposed to have been brought under control at some point.
That paint ticket sells the hopes for GTA 6. @SikiJackson6161 is praying for a marketing rollout in August, whereas @XerceousAkalae laid it down on the line with that their marriage depends on Rockstar dropping GTA 6 anytime soon. Dramatic? Maybe. Relatable? Absolutely. Meanwhile, the next-gen updates crowd merged with @RevwRsk23850 and @l_XiniX_l in a chorus of demands for PS5 version and 60fps patch. Rockstar, you listening?
Then the really fun bonuses come in as well, giving @Tylerhughes_2 the perfect excuse to come back and play some RDO. With @MikeHTX94 summing it up with “I love red dead.” ‘Same here, Mike.’
So, what exactly does this update entail? Neither fun nor frivolous but worth an hour or two of logging in if you’re still sitting on an accumulation of unfinished Free Roam Missions. The Overrun Series is chaos-Teams fight to control territories as respawns preserve the fighting till the end. And then Head for the Hills? That’s the new Dodge a Bullet mode where survival is Zeus. More gold, more cash, more XP-Much Love for This.
But big questions remain: Is Rockstar listening to the players? An army of cheaters, next-gen updates, and the sweet eternity that GTA 6 news are on the way seem to be putting a wrench in those plans. For now, saddle up in Red Dead Online if you still live the life and make use of those multipliers. That being said, look out for those modders.
And if you’ve gone past that stage? Well, Rockstar definitely still believes that there are enough cowboys and cowgirls left in the lands to keep their servers running. Whether that turns out true or not…we’ll find out when the next big update hits. Or doesn’t.
