The musical studio Rockstar Games produced and published a new record entitled You Don’t Own Me, a collaborative work of Prospa, Josh Baker, and Rahh, with full release for buy and streaming on all major platforms. As fresh tracks keep piling up, the question seems to be, on everyone’s minds: with all the power behind it, where is GTA 6?
Being one of CircoLoco Records releases, the track was released on Apple Music, Spotify, and so many more platforms, but community response has been quite mixed. Some are loving it, while some are not so much. One user called it “terrible music”; the other said, “This can’t be the thing they’ve been hyping up.”
Real talk: It was hardly ever about the song in most of those comments. Suddenly, it was just turning into a GTA 6 wishlist. Players started demanding Turkish subtitles, new hairstyles, and a huge question lingering around—that is, when does the next Grand Theft Auto drop?
A player even suggested to Rockstar to add truck customization garages in GTA Online: “There are so many cool trucks in the game, it’d be awesome to tune and store them.” And, meanwhile, some think Rockstar is holding back GTA 6 just so they can get a little bit more lifetime out of GTA Online. “The cow has run out of milk,” one user stated.
Here come classic Rockstar conspiracy theories—with some of the fans sharing their theories that this music drop is a teaser for something way bigger. “GTA 10???” someone replied in jest, with another literally asking if this was the launch trailer. (Spoiler alert: It isn’t.)
Red Dead Redemption fans, oh, they want to hear from the horse’s mouth soonest. “Red Dead news today??? PLEASE,” pleaded one hopeful player.
At this point, it is clear that Rockstar could literally drop a gold bar, and the players would still be like, “But where’s GTA 6?” Hype? Real. Impatience? Real. At this very moment, Rockstar dropping more music ain’t gonna calm this crowd until that trailer lands.
For the meantime, get into those electronic beats if you want and check out You Don’t Own Me. While waiting for an update on GTA 6? Uh, keep waiting.
