Power Rangers: Legacy Wars is a mobile game available on both the iOS and Android devices plus the Amazon App Store. The game was launched due to the cinematic release of the 2017 Power Rangers film.

More characters were eventually added, including Megazord battles, with a roster of over 50 characters, with more planned in the future.

The game takes place in the Power Rangers 2017 film universe. Rita Repulsa has infected the Morphin Grid. While it brought all of the Ranger generations together, it has also corrupted it. At first, Jason is sent to fix the Grid. As he repairs the Grid, more Rangers are saved and become playable. Together, they work to take down Rita Repulsa.

In May 2018, characters from the Street Fighter series were introduced as part of a crossover event. The guest fighters included Chun-Li, Ryu, Akuma, Cammy, Guile, and M. Bison.

Their paths combine when Rita begins pulling characters from other dimensions into the Grid. She starts with evil M. Bison, which, of course, gains the attention of other Street Fighter characters like Ryu and Chun-Li.

Months later, Ryu stepped out of his traditional gi and into the role of a Power Ranger, known as Ryu Ranger.

Now in November 2019, Chun-Li will be receiving the Power Ranger-treatment as Chun-Li Ranger. With the power of the Blazing Phoenix, Chun-Li’s skills showcase a unique blue phoenix fire.

The new ranger’s move set includes the Kasairyuu (Volcano Kick), Houohmai (Phoenix Dance), and Senhoukyaku (Thousand Phoenix Kicks).

Chun-Li teams up with the Power Rangers to take down her nemesis M. Bison and his army of evil Rangers. She showcases her new armor, a white, blue, and gold-colored outfit plus her new moves in a 45-second trailer.

As part of Chun-Li Ranger’s introduction in the series, all of the previously released Street Fighter characters, including Ryu Ranger, will be available for sale again.

Although the game was released over two years, the developer nWay has continued to update the title. The most recent update was on November 14 and included balance changes for the current roster.

nWay is also the studio behind Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, a large-scale fighting game available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
