Garena has announced a crossover event for Free Fire and One Punch Man. The mobile game will bring in content from the One Punch Man series in an upcoming series of events.

The upcoming collaboration will allow players an opportunity to obtain One Punch Man costumes, in-game items, and other collectibles. Players who place these items on their characters can unlock Saitama’s signature “one punch.”

However, if another player is also wearing Saitama’s outfit, they might find themselves face-to-face with a one-punch knock-out.

The developers state that there are plans to bring more One Punch Man themed content to players. Additional news about the collaboration can be found on the official Free Fire website or YouTube.

Free Fire is a survival shooter game available only on mobile devices. Each match takes place within 10-minutes, where all players are thrown on a remote island. When the match begins, players will have to face off against 49 other players.

Players can choose their starting point by navigating with their parachute and try to stay in the safe zone for as long as possible. When the survival math begins, players have to search for weapons, loot enemies, and be the last one standing.

Those who prefer a team-based strategy can create squads of up to four other players in Clash Squad. This mode offers economy management, purchasing weapons, and then battling against the opposing squad.

One Punch Man began as a webcomic but was later adapted into an animated series and later a video game. The series stars Saitama, a young man who trained every day to become the ultimate hero. He is known for defeating his foes with one punch.

Meanwhile, other heroes aren’t so impressed by his laid back style and continue to challenge him. Many eventually learn to respect his skills. The series itself primarily focuses on Saitama’s adventures but also on other heroes within the city.

Harold Teo, Free Fire Producer at Garena, stated:

We’re excited to welcome one of Japan’s most iconic heroes into the Free Fire universe. We’re always looking to create novel, in-game content infused with influences from across the world and believe that our partnership with One-Punch Man will offer our global community of players even more opportunities to battle in style.
