Developer Ion Lands has announced the release date for their upcoming game Cloudpunk. \n \nThe announcement was accompanied with a special release date trailer that also included scenes and gameplay from the upcoming game. \n \n \n \n"Your name is Rania. This is your first night working for Cloudpunk, the semi-legal delivery company based in the sprawling city of Nivalis. You go everywhere, from the Marrow below to the spires that pierce the grey clouds high above before scraping the edge of the troposphere. No delivery job is too dangerous, and no one is faster than a Cloudpunk driver." states the Steam store description. \n \nThe game focuses on story-based exploration. Rania will meet a diverse cast of characters that range from AI, ANdroids, and humans from all walks of life. Rania will have to make several decisions that ultimately impact the lives of Nivalis' citizens. Players will have to take the time to think before making major decisions, as they may have serious consequences. \n \nThere are multiple ways to explore the city of Nivalis. Players can either explore the city by hovercar or on foot. There are plenty of hidden places to uncover plus additional stories to unlock. \n \nThe screenshots and teaser trailer showcases the city Nivalis. The game is clearly inspired by Cyberpunk media. Driving around in the hovercar gives players a good look at the city while walking around on foot gives a different perspective. The city from the night sky is covered in bright neon lights, which fits the mood of a Cyberpunk-inspired game. \n \nThe Steam store news post states that the game is mostly complete. The final weeks leading up to release will be used for QA, localization, and further polish. Fifteen languages will be supported upon launch, but there is only full audio in English. \n \nFor players looking forward to more information about the game, there is an official Discord Cloudpunk server. In the server, gamers can speak to the developers and connect with other fans waiting for the release of the game. \n \nCurrently, the game will only be available as a digital release. This may change in the future. \n \nCloudpunk launches on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 23. The Nintendo Switch release is coming later in 2020.
