Ooh, nice. Techland just threw in a surprise for Dying Light fans: Hypermode is back in the game, allowing players full control of Kyle Crane’s zombie-slaying coolness. The announcement came in via the Twitter handle along with a hype-worthy image showing off the power buff, but the community was half excited and full in loud demand: Where’s The Beast update?
The tweet itself was, in fact, short and to the point, or as Techland wrote: “Want to feel the power of Kyle Crane? Say no more! The Hypermode is back in Dying Light – show the zombies at last.” But the replies were chaos. Players flooded the comments with queries about that long-awaited “Beast” update; some went so far as to ignore the mention of Hypermode just to ask about the bigger DLC.
One of the Twitter accounts, @HeisenbergH69, laid bare his/her frustration: “It’s almost summer, where’s the beast? No info at all??” Far from isolated, these were only a few. Many others were in massively capital screaming mode as @TheOnlineGam4r: “ANY NEWS ABOUT THE BEAST??????????” Thus expressing the hunger this fanbase has for fresh content. @ReZVyce left nothing to be desired by stating, “We dont care we want dl the beast.”
Whereas this reaction to Hypermode might be just some fun temporary booster throwing yet another twist into the game, the real story floating on the surface is this division within the community-even while some embrace this throwback feature, some are CRAVING The Beast, with a handful of others just wanting an outright remaster. @Phriffo gives it straight to the point: “When can we have a Dying Light remaster Techland??” Somehow @FundaturBalkan would go around with his counter-argument by calling the original a “masterpiece” that shouldn’t be touched.
And then, wilder requests popped in: such as that of @TheGamerZeeS1 begging for a Spectral Bat blueprint or @Akash__2212 asking for a Hypermode-style weapon skin. Such are gamer priorities.
One large question remains: Hypermode is back now; The Beast, so when? Lipped-locks are the charm now for Techland, but with such a high demand, the discussions must begin sooner rather late. Players can now take a break from chaos and wait for the next big thing.
Some facts: The Dying Light community is loud, passionate, and never shy to tell the developers what they truly want. Whether Techland soon finds its way to delivery or somehow manages to hold its crowd back, the fallout will be… entertaining.
