How do you like this concept? 😉” And, well, the fandom lost it collectively and went berserk. In response to the art, rather than showering compliments, the fans bombarded the tweet with cries for real news about the rumored Dying Light: The Beast!
The actual update was ambiguous, showing a green-edged image that probably reminded one of a Bolter zombie from the original—a little tip there, judging by some fan reactions. But the responses? Chaos. The players want more than just wallpaper; they demand gameplay, dates, and the confirmation about whether the Beast even exists.
Another user, indirectly expressing his disappointment, wrote: “I would like the concept art of an actual release date.” Oof! There are others, quite desperate, like @Yasser_Alhamdi’s: “I would like a release date PLEASE.” And then comes @hitzin summarizing the mood: “Where is the gameplay of the game, we are dying of anxiety, fr.”
However, there was some sunshine in the shadows. The June showcase at SGF would be precisely the opportunity fans have been screaming about.
And then came the Bolter distraction. @DyingLightTRW cracked Dying Light 2’s redesign: “Not a fan of the Dying Light 2 version all that much tbh. I liked his green exclusivity.” Woe to nostalgia!
Now what? With many lips still sealed at Techland, the community is running thin faster than the last shred of humanity on a Volatile. If The Beast is indeed a real thing, then some answers better be out there, ASAP, or else the fans will get way louder than a Volatile horde.
