Now isn’t the Iron Banner this week returning for one last hurrah in Episode: Heresy? It is…wait for me…a bit divisive. Bungie finally dropped the specs on this week’s reset: Bask in some PvP lunacy grindable for tasty loot and sumptuous activities; however, indifference toward it all has crept in. Some want to play Gambit (seriously?), while others are just here for Adept Palindrome rolls.
So what is in rotation this week? Nightfall is Heist Battleground: Mars; confusion was raised, with players noticing post-reset activities for Hypernet Current as well (what is that?); also; consider the Crucible rep gain boost, which is good if you are still grinding for those resets. Vault of Glass and Crota’s End are back in rotation for the raids, whereas Pit of Heresy and Ghosts of the Deep are open for dungeon aficionados.
So now for the headliner: Palindrome (Adept). This hand cannon has been cherished since its first appearance, and the player population is going berserk about the perk pool. Lilly 🏳️⚧️ commented: “I have used over 100 engrams in 3 seasons to get an Adagio/Slideways roll and just when I had lost hope it drops randomly after my first game. This game man 😭😭😂😂.” On the other hand, the rather dismissive response from ‘xxxxx’ was, “Not a single good perk on that thing 💔💔💔.”
Perhaps Iron Banner is just a community teardown. On the contrary, some players, like Dandelorian, are all for it: “False. I love that shit lol. Only pvp I like.” The others say: “No one wants IB,” says ‘xxxxx,’ with Sir Costa tagging it as “irrelevant and boring repeatable content!! Boring 😴.” And so there is Kev, putting on his hat of remembrance for the now-gone IB Rift: “It will never be IB Rift🥺.”
An argument bordering on a staple is alive and well here. FreshFindsInc is bright-eyed and bushy-tailed about the Crucible (“PvP 🙌🏼”); others would much rather get stuck into raids or dungeons. And the technical topic is noteworthy: Woah, Billy 🇸🇻 is witnessing flickering-screen issues on his PC-A bit of a nightmare for such a precise game mode!
Now one thing iy clear: This Iron Banner is the last until September, as Pepe pleasantly reminded everyone, so if you have been holding out grinding for that perfect roll, this is it. Otherwise, you could go hard on Gambit now: (We see you, Hashirama.)

This week’s Destiny 2 reset features a little of everything, whether you want it for loot, for PvP, or just to complain about sunsetting (shout out to TheLastSeabass). At least worthy arguments in the replies.
