Next week, the long-awaited Bayonetta 3 will be released, and as is customary in the video game industry, spoilers are doing their hardest to ruin the experience. Bayonetta 3 is expected to be the most expansive entry in the series to date, with trailers and early impressions revealing considerable improvements to previous game mechanics. PlatinumGames has confirmed the reintroduction of fan-favorite features, such as Witch Time, which allows players to boost their speed by slowing down time in-game. A recent trailer has revealed the inclusion of many Bayonettas, although Platinum remains tight-lipped about the story’s specifics. In the wake of Bayonetta 3’s release, the online dissemination of spoilers has been detrimental to these efforts.

Bayonetta 3’s subreddit published a thread devoted to spoilers, written by u/-Joozhuah, in which it was stated that other posts would be effectively locked with copies of the game apparently in circulation. Furthermore, outside of the relevant topic, spoilers would be prohibited until at least seven days after Bayonetta 3’s release, with the prohibition expected to be lifted “around November 10.

In addition, multiple YouTube videos, including a significant game section, have been uploaded; however, Nintendo has subsequently removed them.
In addition to potential spoilers, Bayonetta 3 has recently been plagued by controversy over accusations made by former Bayonetta voice actor Helena Taylor, who claimed she was paid only $4,000 to reprise her role as the game’s beloved protagonist. It was reported that Taylor was replaced with Jennifer Hale, a known voice actress for video game titles, who viewed the sum as an insult.

Reportedly, the quoted figure was for each session, which would have been five, and PlatinumGames has now stated in favor of Hale, which contradicts Taylor’s assertion.
