Incredibly vague and enigmatic” are some of the terms that can describe Hideo Kojima, the legendary game designer associated with Death Stranding and Metal Gear; he seems to relish puzzling fans. His one-sentence tweet simply says, “Where my mind is,” which is accompanied by a link that draws one to an image that is, well, anything. Or as far as this article cares, whatever you deem it.

The image itself resembles some blurry, abstract shot, possibly a close-up of an instrument or device in play, a weirdly illuminated corridor, or more effortlessly, some more Kojima-esque nonsense (it wouldn’t be the first).

This being a man who loves his mysteries, this one’s going to have fans theorizing faster than you can say “nanomachines” about what might actually be the case.

Some think it contains hints for Death Stranding 2, a title that we know is in production. Others theorize it could be linked to the horror games he has been reportedly hinting about for years.

Some wild cards are saying this is a teaser for the remake of Metal Gear Solid (just to keep hope alive).

But games are, give or take, a media-theater of their own thoughts-Kojima tweets. You see what you want to see. The last time he posted a picture of his desk people thought it was Silent Hill related; well, he was just doing desk stuff.

Is it something huge? Or is it just Kojima being Kojima? Honestly, either one is likely. If the guy posted about lunch, the entire internet would analyze it for clues.

The world waits, speculates, and watches the Death Stranding 2 trailer again in case anything was missed. Or do you all agree to leave the contents of the Kojima mind itself to always remain a mystery to mankind?

Either way, we will continue the search for all the strange signals because with this type of guy, a simple tweet can very well become a huge ARG by tomorrow. Buckle in and try not to overthink, yeah? (Whoops, too late!)
