This asymmetrical multiplayer shooter has been highly requested from a lot of fans ever since Jason Voorhees got his own game in Friday the 13th: The Game.

Playing as the Predator is a good time, whether you’re using innovative camouflage to stalk soldiers up close or dealing out lethal blows with a menacing spear. Then on the soldier side, players come together and put tactical strategies together to take out something much stronger and faster than themselves.

The game is about to get even better thanks to Patch 2.0, which is currently scheduled to release August 28th on the PC and PlayStation for. With it are a lot of improvements, but one of the more noteworthy additions is cross-play support.

Now PC gamers and those playing on the PS4 will be able to join matches together if they want. That should players more opportunities to claim bragging rights of who the ultimate hunter is.

That’s not all. Illfonic plans on adding more gear to the mix. Some of these items include a wrist launcher, classic combistick, anti-cloaking grenade, and OWLF assault rifle just to name a few. They should give both the Predator and soldiers new ways to approach combat.

Also, new masks and customization items will be available. That has been a great aspect of Predator: Hunting Grounds. There are plenty of ways to customize your character visually and performance wise.

Finally, Illfonic plans on fixing some bugs and performance issues. There have been quite a few problems players have experienced since launch, but the developer is keen on fixing them as quickly as possible.

It’s worth mentioning that this patch is completely free to those that own Predator: Hunting Grounds. It may not have started off with the smoothest launch, but it’s gradually getting better. Is it the best shooter you’ll play this year? Probably not. But that’s not to say it isn’t fun.

Playing as the Predator using all of his superior abilities never ceases to be fun. If Illfonic can continue to improve some balancing issues and refine the shooting mechanics a bit, then the developer has the chance to attract new fans and keep them coming back.
