An original character preview trailer showcasing the future playable character Nilou has been made available for viewing by the developer of Genshin Impact, miHoYo, under the umbrella brand of HoYoverse.

Nilou will become a playable character in Genshin Impact in the not-too-distant future during Genshin Impact Version 3.1, which will focus on King Deshret and the Three Magi, as was previously and officially confirmed back in July. Although it does not clearly indicate how she will perform in the well-known free-to-play video game, it does provide clues as to how the character will seem in other contexts.

The developer has shared many interesting details about Nilou in addition to the trailer, which was released earlier today. Dani Chamber is responsible for providing the English voice for Nilou, and Hisako Kanemoto is accountable for giving the Japanese voice to Nilou. She is a five-star character tuned to Hydro and wields a Sword as her primary weapon.

Nilou is a supporting character that, based on the description provided by the creator of Genshin Impact, can manipulate the effects of the game’s Elemental Reaction mechanics to help her squad. For example, she can do a variety of dancing routines that inflict Hydro damage on foes or apply these moves to enemies with Wet, all while her Elemental Burst deals Hydro damage to an area of impact.

Genshin Impact Version 3.1, King Deshret, and the Three Magi are currently accessible, as was mentioned earlier. It also began adding new characters, including Candace, Nilou, and Cyno, and adding a new desert region to Sumeru. In a broader sense, the base game of Genshin Impact can be played for free on mobile devices, the PlayStation 4, the PlayStation 5, and the personal computer. The video game is also going to be made available on the Nintendo Switch at some point in the future, though a specific release date has yet to be disclosed.
