For quite some time now, it’s been rumored that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which was originally released over a decade ago, is going to be remastered for current-generation consoles, and will be released later this year. Now, it seems that the rumor has been confirmed, as Charlie Intel has discovered the game’s cover art and description via a data-mine on PC.

Moreover, it looks like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered will only feature the game’s single-player campaign, as its description, which you can take a look at below, says as much.

“Purchase Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered and receive the Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost Bundle OR Purchase the Ghost Pack: Oil Rig Bundle to receive Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered.”

As of this writing, Activision hasn’t commented on the leak, but the data-mine clearly states that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is coming and that it’s currently in development.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 isn’t the only remaster that Activision has in development, as reliable leaker The Gaming Revolution has reported that they’re also working on a remaster of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, which will feature assets from the first three games in the franchise, and the fourth main installment of Crash Bandicoot, which was called The Wrath of Cortex. Also, the latter title is scheduled to be Activision’s next big release, which probably means that we should be getting official news on the latest Crash remaster sometime soon.

Activision also has what’s being described as a Crash Bandicoot PvP title in development, which likely will be the next Crash Team Racing. Of course, the CTR remake, called Nitro-Fueled, released last summer, and, like with the N’Sane Trilogy, it was a massive success.

Given that Activision hasn’t commented on any of the aforementioned titles, it’s unclear when they’ll be released.

As for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remaster, we don’t know if it’ll be released sometime in the summer, or if it’ll be released alongside the next COD title, which typically launches in November. Back in November of 2016, a remaster of the original Modern Warfare — Call of Duty 4 — was released alongside Infinite Warfare. At the time of its release, it wasn’t a standalone application, but Activision changed that later.

So for now, all we know is that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is coming later this year, but we don’t know when.
