The fifth week of LCS was explosive.
Cloud 9 is crushing every single opponent, while other teams struggle to pick up wins.

100 Thieves vs Team Solo Mid
Aatrox / Gragas / Le’Blanc / Miss Fortune / Nautilus vs Kennen / Lee Sin / Syndra / Xayah / Rakan
100 Thieves are looking more and more indecisive in their plays, while Team Solo Mid is rounding up to be 1 step behind the dominant team this split, Cloud 9. Even though TSM ended up with 16 kills and 100 Thieves ended up with 7, the game was much closer than that. 100 Thieves were 1 Dragon away from Dragon Soul and Miss Fortune was ahead of Xayah.
Teamfights were going 50/50 early on, but Team Solo Mid started zoning out the Miss Fortune and engaging on her, allowing the carries of TSM to survive easily and deal a lot of damage.
One big mistake of defending the bot tower 2 vs 5 from 100 Thieves cost them the game.
Cloud 9 vs Counter Logic Gaming
Sett / Lee Sin / Rumble / Varus / Tahm Kench vs Aatrox / Gragas / Azir / Miss Fortune / Braum
CLG debuted Pobelter in the mid lane, after he was left teamless in the off-season. Team Liquid threw him a bone and hired him as an assistant coach, but based on his tweets he still had the drive to compete and so CLG approached him mid-season to play for them.
While Aatrox with Gragas from CLG tried to carry the game, the mid + bot side of Cloud 9 were much stronger and secured insane amount of tempo for their team. This allowed them to secure all but 1 tower and all Rift Heralds, Baron, Dragons, while CLG were able to only secure a tower from Cloud 9.
An explosive fight near Baron sealed CLGs fate and granted C9 their win, who managed to not lose a single game so far.
Dignitas vs Immortals
Mordekaiser / Jarvan / Orianna / Aphelios / Thresh vs Ornn / Sejuani / Corki / Miss Fortune / Nautilus
The draft from both teams was really good, both had clear winning conditions, but Dignitas were able to pull theirs much cleaner. While Immortals have some good games, in which they unleash their entire potential, this was one of them.
Dignitas secured 9 towers, 2 Rift Heralds, 4 Dragons and 1 Baron, while Immortals picked up only 2 towers. Froggen on Orianna was a joy to watch, after he killed Zven from Cloud 9, nicknamed ‘the Immortal’, he killed all of Immortals this game.
FlyQuest vs Golden Guardians
Sett / Rek’sai / Orianna / Xayah / Rakan vs Aatrox / Lee Sin / Zoe / Miss Fortune / Thresh
Golden Guardians put up a good fight, but were unable to win against the superior team fight and gameplay from FlyQuest. PowerOfEvil on Orianna demolished GGs chances of winning and carried with absolute display of skill.
That is all for Day 1 of Week 5 coverage of LCS 2020, stay tuned for more in the upcoming days.
