There’s really been a nostalgia bomb spilling over into the streets of VALORANT with Riot Games sharing a tweet, “Let’s see how far you’ve come,” with the replies being downright entertaining in all respects. The community opened up the floodgates with memories of their ascension, memes, and plenty of loyalty toward their agents—from Iron fiction to cracked Immortal tales.
Hats off to that player who went from Omen Iron 2 to Cypher Ascendant 3. That kind of glow-up deserves hoorays. Another player just admitted, “started off Phoenix Bronze 2 but got distracted by… Pokémon? Gold 1 on the peak but hey, gagda catch ’em all!”
Now, these belong to the infamous “not gonna talk about it” squad. One dropped the sad face under a screenshot of their rank, while the other joined along with an “Uh oh,” in front of an image depicting their sheer lack of improvement. We’ve all been there… some seasons hit just different.
Those scaling through hardstuck Silvers to destroying Immortal lobbies are the real MVPs. Letting go a little, one flexed his journey, from Sage Gold 3 all the way up to Iso Immortal 3, with 400 hours of ranked playtime casually stating, “Radiant soon™.” The other poured in dominance from Reyna/Raze Iron 3 all the way up to Sova Diamond 1, plainly showing that initiators do win games.
Agent mains came out full throttle. Kay/O-omen stans, Fade lovers (yes, with the classic icons), and the eternal Sova main, such people are the backbone of this game. And someone admitted he just started playing VALORANT owing to the fact that Sage is “hot.” Priorities.
Some player just shrugged and said, “playing 4 fun from pc club yay happy leabian,” and that’s the mood. Another one said that for all these years, he barely ever went past Gold because his duo “has issues” and turned nearly every match into a 4v5. Hurt.
Those tweets also brought forth some… interesting advice. One said, “Play more deathmatches,” and another suggested, “Watch more YouTube guides and spam ranked.” Advice worthy of respect. But in all honesty, some of us stay here just for the vibes (and the Sage simp sessions).
Seems like Riot’s post hit home; players flex their ranked-up moments, or laugh about their own lack of advancement. Thus, it becomes a testament to the fact that the VALORANT ranked ladder is one crazy, crazy ride of ups, downs, and lots of ‘just-one-more-game’ moments at 3 in the morning.
So, how far have YOU gone? From being stuck in Iron to soaring above Radiant, one thing’s for sure: the VALORANT community remains as chaotic yet passionate nowadays. Now, if you will excuse us, we will go queue up and start regretting in a heartbeat.
