Riot just dropped a bomb on the VALORANT community—Omen has been forcibly removed. Yes, you heard that right: the teleporting edgy melee is out of rotation, and the community just went berserk.

So what is going on? An exploit was discovered whereby Omen’s Dark Cover enabled players to see through walls and hear enemy footsteps. That does sound pretty broken. Consider that somebody is peeking or moving around through smokes transparent to him, and the opponent has no clue. Is that really fair?

WOL Fayde, he observed the bug and even tweeted at Riot and the official VALORANT account. Saying there have been half-panic-half-meme-half-mourns would simply do it an injustice. An Omen main (@astrovoid_pkmn) posted a GIF of somebody crying with “Me as an Omen OTP” in the caption. Mood.

The responses were madness. @lostndasoss put it exactly right: “Tweaking, crashing out, crying and throwing up.” @SaitoST__ held nothing back in his rant: “Vayanse a cagar.” A severe response, but in a way, justified.

On the other hand, @GokieOfficial tried his best to be helpful by linking a clip of the bug in effect. I swear, watching Omen players suddenly come to possess Wallhacks is as wild as it sounds. No wonder Riot had to pull the plug on this one ASAP.

But hey, not all were hideously weeping. @anoveas posted, “e minha clove está sempre no topo” (“and my Clove is always on top”) with no thought to the ongoing discussion. Okay, cool, but we’re talking about Omen here, buddy.

So here’s the question—When are we reinstating Omen? Riot has yet to announce the timelines for this, but from what we’ve seen, they’ll be very fast. So until that time, you Omen players will be compelled to try out some of the other agents. Or, who knows, maybe try a little adventurous outdoor life?

For now, these players are just taking in all that fallout. Some, like @KiindaLiinda, are begging Riot to “say sike,” while others are embracing the chaos. Either way, they become memories that remind you of how live service games are always just a little unpredictable.

So yeah. If you were gonna main Omen today… tough luck. Maybe give Phoenix a shot? Or just call it a break till Riot washes through this mess. Either way, things just got a little kooky for the VALORANT meta.
