Remastered Capsule-A PNE-From the Planets-Custom Items-
Five years ago, VALORANT stepped into its beta phase, and Riot Games decided to commemorate the very moment with a nostalgia-streaked bundle named Beta Remastered Capsule in the store, while others coined this one shameless jackpot.
This $40 bundle contains remastered versions of the original beta knife, gun buddy, and other miscellaneous items. That price tag, however, is a bit of a controversy. These old-timers since Day One want more-from a beta giveaway to some kind of appreciation for beta vets-all they get are retreaded animations sold for suspiciously high…
Essentially, another user @UltimateSema complained, “40 bucks for something that was free before, new heights of greed are reached ðŸ˜ðŸ˜.” Oof. Another user, probably sardonically, @Averynormalper4 added, “Thanks for mindlessly spending money on us since beta, here’s some more for ya.”
But not everyone was annoyed. Others like @EpRaftel enjoyed reviewing the beta days and called it “un hermoso momento para la historia del gaming” (a beautiful moment in gaming history). And @1Felpszz was just as happy to say, “Happy birthday! 🥳🥳🥳.”
Then there is the ongoing argument regarding whether beta players should have gotten this for free: @flyrfan0011 commented that it was really the unpopular opinion (probably actually popular), with @IcyD1amond coming in to say that, at least, original beta card owners should have been gifted the remastered version.
Then they took it as an opportunity to rant all their grievances. @DarkBiCin joked, “Now only if we could remaster the game back to beta when the game was actually good,” while @H0pZ_TV proceeded to roast someone who acted as if their version of VALORANT was so bug-free and perfect.
This set the stage for another drama in the competitive scene, with @firedowy accusing Riot of milaching players with expensive bundles while T2 esport scene lamed to sunset, stating, “You have no sense of what is right and proper.”
So yes, the Beta Remastered Capsule goes live, and it is… quite a controversial show. For some, it is seen as a nice tribute to the origins of VALORANT; others view it as a cash grab on loyal players from Riot. Either way, it is creating noise, with some people buying it and some side-eyeing it.
Now, for anyone wondering if it’s worth $40, well, it all depends on how much those nostalgic feelings mean to you and how deep your pockets are.
