Riot has been called on by VALORANT players to be focusing more on superfluous weapon inspection animations than on what truly matters. Some players started a fiery debate upon witnessing a tweet from ValorANT, sharing their opinion that the game should prioritize gameplay patching and ranked system fixes along with the maps before anything cosmetic.

This original tweet was showcasing a weapon inspection animation-a beautiful one for Call of Duty, really. The reception was more or less negative. The players were not impressed; there were just quite irritated.

@nynthics stood and says: “No they need to fix the bullshit that is ranked, we don’t need more skins.” And honestly, they are not wrong. The ranked system in VALORANT has been a sore for years, of inconsistent matchmaking, and smurfing being rampant.

Another player, @Facerek07, reminded everyone about gas clouds being bigger: “VALORANT has solid potential but it is now time to fix the gameplay, esports structure, and how it deals with streamers. NOT just weapon inspection.”

And then there is the map release that comes on very slow. According to @Ba_ba_Ya_g_a, “We’re literally getting our first new map in how long?? Don’t make me die of disappointment.” He is not alone with that initial plea, as many players are lamenting the glacial and painful pace with which new maps come to VALORANT as compared to other competitive shooters.

Some commentaries were hilarious. @james_x_chan joked out loud-in-the-skin-refers-meaning-“they’re gonna make that cost your rent.” While @Eclipse17062 doubled down: “They will ask my lungs and my heart fr instead of money.”

Not all of the responses, however, were against it. Others like @xkearaaax wanted more skins (“I need more skin”). Probably, there’s always someone in your corner defending the worst decisions.

The kicker? Some players simply came to a point and compared VALORANT weapon inspections with Call of Duty Mobile, with @caremelly25 urging “just look at the cod mobile bro.” And honestly, if COD Mobile is outdoing you in any respect, maybe it’s time to rethink priorities.

At the end of the day, this whole discussion just out of frustration happening within the VALORANT community. They want actual updates- better ranked systems, more maps, overhauled smoother gameplay-not just cool and flashy animations all to distract their attention from what matters.

Will Riot hear? Time only will reveal. However, with the speed and largeness of backlash, maybe it wouldn’t be, not so far hence, before the devs take note, at least.

So yeah, weapon inspections are pretty neat, but maybe fix the game first?
