And now, there is the teaser trailer for the Elena update for Street Fighter 6, and the player-base has erupted-an uproar they probably did not deserve. The mentioned tweet showcased new Challenger Screen illustrations by artist Himeika, giving a little teaser of what viewers can expect on June 6. While certain gamers are excited, others… well, they would probably need some patch notes or costumes.

The art looks good. There is Elena, standing in her classic sleepy and laid-back pose, while all the Elena fans call her a “sleeping beauty.” One player, @IdrawCammy, gushed, “Uber cute sleeping beauty! 😻” while another, @RosannaMine, poured in, “My baby sleeping!!!!🥹 gosh she’s such a sleeping beauty🫶🏻,” so yeah, the options will definitely be a hit among Elena fans.

But then there are those who would not want to bask in these vibes. Many players have very valid reasons to get impatient. Then came @KwanYungPoon1 with an unambiguous reply: “i need patch notes or patch preview video, not this。” And really… he was right. The Elena update has been delayed more than usual; there are still no patch notes despite the long wait; hence the frustration. @sephi22 added, “There was even a patch tease trailer last year a week before the patch and we didn’t get that this year.” So, yeah, Capcom is keeping it under wrap, and not everyone is amused.

And then there were costume drama. Pyrotechnics. Skins, skins, skins the players are pleading for, and Capcom is just… okay, not delivering yet. @RegalRexus demanded shortly: “Just give us consistent new outfits, take our money!!!” While his ironic comrade @James92947764 chimed in, “That’s really cool Capcom, now I want outfit 4 pls.” @Chopp_da_Blockk threw in for the kick: “Everything but costumes.” Ouch.

And then there’s that third party. Now the madness begins with Season 3, where @Krimson77 is gunning for Sakura, while @FighterIngrid is campaigning for Ingrid. Then, of course, there’s @JuriForFortnite who simply wants Juri in Fortnite because… well, why not? Madness at its best.

And yes, even among the salt stores, there were some who vibed: @nipaaaaaaaaah said “So perfect 😍😍” and @terrorreader kindly asked, “Can we have more skins?” (Mood.)

On the bright side, the Elena update has some slick art to look forward to at least, but the players want more–balance changes, costumes, or at least confirmation of further DLC. June 6 is nearly here, and Capcom will finally unveil just what they’ve been cooking. Till then the Street Fighter community will be speculating, memeing, and briefly appreciating the art-that is how the FGC flows.

So, yeah, good news if you were hyped for Elena: she’s almost here. If patch notes and costumes are the ones keeping you back… then maybe go and pick something else to put time into for now. Here are some wise words from @ConfusedMonke10: “Have some patience man, it’s coming 6th June whether you’re mad or not.”

If you’re still mad, well, then at least you do not stand alone.
