The Weather Channel is the latest company to offer special designs for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The announcement was made on Twitter and Facebook as part of National Video Games Day. The designs include the official logo to use as artwork, a custom hat, and a blue raincoat. \n \nThe designs were inspired by the clothing many meteorologists wear on the network. Players who are interested in chasing storms, role playing as a weather forecaster, or want to cosplay as one of the forecasters from the network. \n \nPlayers can download the designs for free. In an image, The Weather Channel has provided the codes necessary to download the items. Before downloading the items, players will need three blank design spaces or be willing to overwrite an existing design. \n \nDownloading custom designs is easy. Players will need to have the Able Sisters store available on their island along with an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription. After entering the store, the design kiosk is located in the back of the building. Players will need to go online, input the code, and then download the design. The total process is very quick. \n \n \n \nAnimal Crossing: New Horizons was released in March 2020 when many people were staying inside due to new rules caused by COVID-19. Many businesses lost in-person sales and communication, and some of the employees began working from home. \n \nIn response to the new changes, many businesses decided to use the wildly popular game to help connect with customers. One of the first North American companies to release free designs was fashion brand Marc Jacobs. Companies across the world were following suit, including an entire KFC-themed island in the Philippines. \n \nIn Japan, many companies began releasing themed clothing designs, from Canon to popular kimono brands. Most recently, the Tokyo Fire Prevention team began using the game to share important fire prevention tips with followers. They also launched several themed designs for those who want to wear firefighter clothing. \n \nAlthough many players have decided to stay at home, there's plenty of role-playing options within the game. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has continued to release new content updates throughout the months as well instead of all at once.
