A few days ago, Nintendo released a new trailer showcasing some of the updates coming soon to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The update went live on September 30, but most of the events won’t begin until later this month.

Anyone who downloads the update will receive a special gift from Nintendo in their in-game mailbox for a Ringcon furniture item from the game Ring Fit Adventure. The item is free and will arrive after the update is downloaded.

Nintendo listed the full list of patch notes on its support website. The update contains new activities and other “adjustments and corrections” to improve gameplay for everyone.

One of those updates includes hiding items not for sale in the catalog while viewing the Nook Shopping category in Town Hall. This makes it easier to see the available items without worrying about things that are unavailable. This is accomplished by pressing the Y button.

Luna now has an optional ability. Players can request to revisit islands they have previously visited from a handy list and favorite islands to quickly revisit them.

The biggest update was related to Fall activities. Players can now purchase pumpkin starters in the Nook Shop or from Leif’s cart when he visits. Pumpkins are necessary to build some of the seasonal DIY projects. The new DIY projects were also added.

Halloween will also come back at the end of the month, along with Jack. Players can purchase Candy from the Nook Shop to hand out to villagers on a special day.

The Able Sisters shop was also updated with new Halloween-themed costume items. Players can make the outfits complete with new customization options, such as pale vampire skin and bright red eyes. These special cards for “Body-Paint Costume Tips” and “Exploring New Eye Colors” can be purchased using 2,400 Nook Miles.

One more update is coming to the NookLink app in early October. From the app, players can easily access their reactions from a bigger list compared to choosing within the game. A new reaction, “Haunt,” was also added with the big update.

The next update for November will include a visit from Franklin to celebrate Harvest Day. The next update in December will bring back Jingle and the Toy Day event.

The Fall Update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now.
