Ubisoft is officially kicking off their season of freebies, which if you remember, is where they offer a game a day for free for roughly a week. It’s a great way to generate positivity within the community and give gamers something to look forward to throughout the month of December.
The first game up on deck is the action-adventurer Starlink: Battle for Atlas. It will only be available for today only so if you want to add it to your collection, be sure to clink on the appropriate link and have your Ubisoft account info ready.
If you take Ubisoft up on this offer, you’ll get to enjoy a solar system full of possibilities. The Atlas Star System has been overrun by Grax and the Forgotten Legion, but as an elite space pilot, you’ll lead a resistance in an epic fight between good and evil.
The game gets a lot of things right with its ship customization. You can mix and match a wide variety of parts depending on what defensive and offensive maneuvers you plan on executing when traveling around a beautiful and limitless solar system.
You’ll find yourself immersed in a deep RPG system as well, with plenty of systems to master and finetune. If you keep playing through the story, you’ll find yourself gaining access to more powerful weapons, better resources, and unique abilities that really provide a lot of value you’ll want to come back to.
Ubisoft Toronto has also created a pretty impressive solar system for you to navigate through, featuring a total of seven planets. All are equipped with their own ecosystems and unique attributes. Just as you finish discovering the ins and outs of one planet, another is waiting to be explored.
Starlink: Battle for Atlas is a pretty solid way for Ubisoft to kick things into gear during the month of December. Covid-19 is still having a large impact on almost every industry, but it’s still nice to appreciate the season of giving in the gaming community.
And if you’re excited about the additional freebies that are still to come, be sure to stay tuned to Ubisoft’s social media accounts. They’ll keep you updated when the next freebie becomes available. All in all, it’s a great way to build up a collection without having to spend a dime. You can also bet there will be some pretty solid offerings in the days that follow.
