Riot has announced the release date for their highly-anticipated card game, Legends of Runeterra. The title will be leaving beta and getting a full release at the end of this month on April 30th. Riot's announcement comes with a new launch trailer, which we've placed below. It's interesting and certainly beautiful, but it shows off absolutely no gameplay if that's what you were looking for. Still, that's to be expected from cinematics, so just enjoy the beautiful animation, great voiceover, and getting to watch Darius lose several fights in a row. Given that you've likely heard a good bit about the title already, you might be confused to hear that it's launching. Legends of Runeterra released into open beta in late January this year, so any news that you've been hearing has been from that Beta. This will be the launch of the full game now that it's been fully beta tested, but the beta isn't ending just yet. If you're interested in hopping aboard the hype train and giving the game a try, you can hop into the open beta at any time. Legends of Runeterra is based in the same world as League of Legends, much the same way that Hearthstone shares the Warcraft universe. The full game will include cross-play between mobile devices and PC and will be launching with the first new set of cards, as well as a new Region. Riot is adding more than 120 new cards to the roster, pushing the total amount of cards in the game over 400, though we don't know what the new cards or Region will be. Riot likely intends to slowly release these as the hype train picks up speed over the next few weeks. If you're interested in the card game, you'll want to jump in as soon as possible. Players that log on before May 7th will receive the Moonstruck Poro Guardian, a cosmetic character that you can flaunt over your opponent without getting any alterations to your gameplay.
