PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers receive a massive upgrade in the sense that hundreds of PS5 and PS4 games may now be downloaded and played. To practically cement the news, Sony go on Twitter, telling players to enjoy fun titles in their Game Catalog. And, of course, the internet had its thoughts.

Now some good things: If the players were subscribed to PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium, they now had a huge library full of games at their disposal. The company itself even gave a working link that explains how to navigate the Game Catalog to allow players to jump right into winning. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal? Well, not all were so enthusiastic.

Some gamers immediately singled out one title from the promo image—in this case, Bloodborne—and reactions were…mixed. One user, UREGHAL DEV, sarcastically thanked PlayStation for allowing them to play Bloodborne at 30fps. Burning. Award Winning Goy Humiliator Saul Krugman (yes, that is his actual display name) straight-up asked for a 60fps and 4K patch for the legendary FromSoftware title. I mean, come on Sony, it’s been years.

Some other technical complains followed. Framekunst couldn’t finish the download for Diablo 4 because in his library he still had the early beta. Michael Nitemare reported that his Premium membership suddenly ceased to be able to stream games, demanding that he upgrade-a-payment he already maculated. And let’s not even get into them with non-PSN countries-Ramstein 🇪🇺🇲🇩 were not happy about being locked out of subscriptions.

Wait-things got even more juicy. Xander_sama exploded out in rant in one go over defective PSN codes and atrocious customer services. They weren’t alone-ICAO (KXTA) also accused Sony of having taken down PS3 avatars they bought and PSHome servers without issuing any compensation. Yikes.

Sure, there were some positive responses too: AtomosFabian lauded the Game Catalog as “great,” for instance. NLinden10674 came in after to proclaim this might actually be good for gaming stocks-but hey, at least gamers had more games to actually play.

Still, what’s the most important takeaway? P2E bluntly stated that you require PlayStation Plus to do multiplayer in games you already own. Komotzu_ wouldn’t accept this and demanded that online multiplayer be free. Meanwhile, AnaAnsan (Welcome ABK 💚) simply trashed the catalog and proclaimed Xbox Game Pass the better option. These console battles just never die.

So yeah, PlayStation Plus Premium are throwing a pretty good library of games at you, but the response to this is kind of triangulated. Some people don’t care, some are super pissed off, and then there’s the group that’ll have their roasting ceremonies about Sony. But hey, at least Bloodborne is in there-even if it is still at 30fps.

That being said, it’s a win for subscribers; however, Sony has other issues to fix so that everyone can be pleased. I have to check if that 60fps patch for Bloodborne showed up, so excuse me. Spoiler: it hasn’t.
