The gaming community has every reason to rejoice with the release of a new Nvidia driver for its graphics card. With this product, they are assured to enjoy an optimal gaming experience.

On Tuesday, Oct. 22, the Santa Clara, California-based company launched the GeForce Game Ready 440.97 WHQL driver.

The newly launched driver has a long list of features and benefits. One of the most notable is its capacity to run high-powered games. Thus, fans need not worry about the arrival of two highly anticipated titles. Nvidia’s latest product can smoothly play The Outer Worlds and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Apart from increasing the performance of playing such games, it has also added some support to the windowed G-SYNC for OpenGL. The Vulkan-based applications benefit from this driver, as well.

In the meantime, specific improvements have been incorporated. Notably, it has fixed previous issues in a number of games. Among these are the following:

• Flickering of the computer screen that happens at times when playing Apex Legends

• Crashes that occur to the desktop while enjoying Star Wars: Battlefront II, FIFA 19, and FIFA 20

• Flickering that happens when choosing a character in World of Warcraft

• Crashes that are triggered by hitting the TDR error when playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider

• Colored corruption that appears in the gameplay of Forza Horizon 4

Meanwhile, it is worth noting that Activision has picked Nvidia as its official partner in the upcoming game. Thus, it is no longer a surprise that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare works well with the new Nvidia driver.

Based on the listed system requirements of the game, the following must be considered:

• At a minimum, the unit must be in Windows (64-bit).

• Its processor must be an AMD FX-6300 or Intel Core i3-4340, at the very least.

• The PC must also have a memory of not less than 8GB, with a storage capacity of 175GB.

• For its graphics card, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 must be used. A higher model is better, though. AMD’s Radeon HD 7950, which boasts of DirectX 12.0 compatible system, can likewise be considered.

It can be observed that the minimum requirements for the system that runs Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are already high. Therefore, playing it with a driver packed with more impressive features can improve the total gaming experience. This scenario is something that the new Nvidia driver promises. Fans will be able to test the driver when the title is finally out on Oct. 25.
