There has been yet another release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It’s that time of year again when Bethesda reminds players that, despite the game’s age, they still have plenty of reasons to invest in Skyrim. The original release of Skyrim occurred in November of 2011 and was a landmark event.

It eventually became one of the best-selling games ever and has held up well through several generations of gaming platforms. It’s a great role-playing game, and it’s also one of the best games ever made by Bethesda. Unfortunately for players, it appears like The Elder Scrolls VI will not be released for some more years.

Meanwhile, Nintendo and Bethesda have revealed that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim would be explicitly remade for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch owners may purchase The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition for the steep price of $69.99, nearly a year after the game’s initial release on other systems.

Existing game owners will receive a free update that adds four different creations, including fishing and a survival mode. In contrast, the Anniversary Edition provides players with hundreds of other creations, including quests, armor, weapons, and environments. This is the definitive edition of Skyrim, so if you haven’t had your fill of the game yet and are playing it on the move, this is it.

Starfield, the upcoming massive role-playing game from Bethesda, is expected to launch in 2019. The game’s release date was pushed back from November to December so that the development team could finish adding the finishing touches. As the first major single-player RPG from Bethesda since Fallout 4 in 2015, the science fiction game has a lot riding on its shoulders. It has also been announced as an Xbox Series X|S and PC exclusive, meaning PlayStation gamers will have to look elsewhere to play the game.
