Back in the times when hype was being thrown up in the air for indie dev named Screen Juice for their forthcoming title *Morbid Metal*, one fascinating and, truly, lovely thing was that the demo, which swept the awards at Steam Next Fest, is still available for download. Yes, it’s 100 percent true.Caught up? Missed the hype? Better catch it up before Early Access opens on August 20.

These demos giving really good algebra to peoples are being described here in the occasion as some of the best demos of the event. Screen Juice is, right now, working on improving, polishing, and refining the experience with an eye toward release. This better hit the world hard once it does.

What really got people talking is that Ubisoft was backing an indie game. That Ubisoft! The very same company that is currently famous for its large open-world epics is helping out a small one; that is, the mech-filled brawler. And the gamers-are actually, genuinely excited?

Now for some hype reactions: “Finally a Ubisoft game that has my attention,” tweeted Yorch Torch Games, while Odder Commentary said that the demo has them “gonna be picking this one up.” RyuuSaku6 jokingly said, “Look at that… not another AC?” then followed it up with “Ha, so you guys still can produce new ideas?”

Hypes aside, the naysayers appear. Some players are a little wary about Ubisoft’s involvement, one asking if they’ll “still make you sign up for an account to play offline single-player games.” That was a jab. The console guys are beginning their begging for a PS5 or Xbox port. “No PS5 release = game doesn’t exist,” nocasul stated. So cold.

But hey! Not really anything bad. The demo is short and fun, mechs are/is loud and proud, more polish and waitbefore Early Access spreads the optimism thin, and if nothing else, an indie game getting some love from Ubisoft. Instead of another Assassin’s Creed spinoff.

If you’re down or are a mech and metal enthusiast, check out the Steam demo. And should the idea catch you, wishlist it hence; August 20 inches closer every day.
