EA Sports has just released a teaser for an upcoming Madden 26 Franchise Deep Dive, and the gaming community already is divided. Some are hyped; others roll their eyes; a few hope EA doesn’t come out with another recycled piece. An official Tweet has been dropped linking to the deep dive; but everything is happening in the replies. Oh, those replies.

Well, hype has actually been a thing. KxngTae actually came out on the streets saying, “The presentation alone goin have me only playing madden😭.” I mean, if it is visually impressive, I call it a win. Meanwhile, Nolan Nitahara threw in an eye-rolling comment to EA: “Time to see if they finally fixed scouting or added better contract mechanics or just gave us more cutscenes with Deion 😂.” Oof. That one stings because… it actually might be true.

Then it is the whole other problem of Madden 26 really just being Madden 25 with a reworked coat of paint. Darick Rogers read his rebuttal to somebody who says it’s the same game; “Normally is but it for sure plays nothing like 25.” Okay, maybe there is hope? Or, maybe it is wishful thinking.

Presentation-wise, it’s winning. Pete (@Cowboy0850) said, “It’s nice to see presentation getting some improvement.” Darren Carr (@DCarr75), which meant he canceled, said, “Love that the first hit is one we’ve seen for 10 years on Madden but never once in real life.” Bruh, that roast is just a blessing to make you question everything.

Then comes the “boycott Madden” gang. Eric (@Squareic_) went all in: “Don’t buy madden this year we desperately need the NFL to drop the exclusive license.” Matt Myles (@Jaysun20_) is in agreement: “don’t buy this #boycottmadden.” Players are just crazy fed up with EA’s monopoly on NFL games. Like, where is the competition?

Several players are begging for features that are definitively not going to happen. Josh (@EyePostHereToo) says: “Ik y’all ain’t 2k but please add an eras or all time teams to franchise.” Meanwhile, JaydenSZN (@TheSteveYo) just wants legends to be in franchise mode, but Shomeur Whocheeze (@Serbueno39) fired back quickly: “Will never happen again because EA is greedy and only wants the legends locked behind packs and MUT.” Facts.

Then classic EA skepticism kicks in. CraigFromTheLand (@craigWseman) started: “Can’t wait for another disappointing year where you try to tout out a few small insignificant changes like they are meaningful to the franchise community and then something will break leagues like always anyway.” Damn, tell us how you feel.

It’s not all haters, though: Some folks feel some type of way. God First (@therealseann_) kept it simple with, “ngl that’s cool asf.” Meanwhile, Neil (@cashoutneil75) gave props for the new score bugs but was wondering about menus.

Seemingly the verdict: The Madden 26 Franchise Deep Dive will either make the charts or will be another EA selling the juiced-up old. The players are actually divided-the hype is really real for some, and skepticism is louder than ever. That deep dive will explode any hot take coming from the internet.
