The first teaser for a College Football 26 Dynasty Mode deep dive was released by EA Sports, with potential for dividing a community. In the teaser scene, a virtual trophy room was flaunted, generating myriad reactions—some laudable and others downright roasting.

So what exactly transpired? The EA Sports College Football Twitter account had promised a “Dynasty Deep Dive” for that Tuesday and linked to some additional information. The image attached to it hinted at some sort of digital trophy case where players could flaunt their in-game accomplishments. Quite cool, huh? Well, maybe not everybody is convinced.

Others such as @realChuckWagonx were not impressed and called it a “CPU trophy that nobody else can see.” Meanwhile, @MitchWestphal rather called it a lazy design compared to what was offered by the old editions: “Damn, it used to be more like an actual room with the trophies.” Ouch!

Not everything has taunts, though, suggesting: @UMaster27 asked if trophies could display things such as team names, scores, and years as opposed to only the date they earned it. Then @SquidThaGoat seemed interested in knowing if that would be split per each Dynasty file,—that’s definitely a legit question.

Then there are those last couple who are contented with something so new. @gmanski3 countered the detractors: “We don’t know what it all entails but at least be happy that it’s back.” @DLKing_8 paid homage to the old trophy room setup and hopes EA resurrects those details in updates.

The skepticism still being at an all-time high within EA Sports, @Merms77 asked outright: “Does it even work? FC25 doesn’t.” Scorched-earth style came through from @Reazistor: “This isn’t a trophy room y’all did the bare minimum… I hope you lose your exclusive license.” Yikes.

Then came this tweet, which opened unrelated but hilarious conversations as well. @FaheyEz984 took the moment to demand EA to change the read option mechanics back to NCAA 14, while @6damon6 dropped a very cryptic horse-racing analogy in the replies. Classic Twitter Madness.

Soon enough, the full details of the Dynasty Deep Dive will leak in, and players will get to see the full picture. Will the trophy room really turn out as feared by the majority, or is there more to it than that? Either way, the mere fact that EA has gotten the players to talk is half the battle in the sports gaming arena.

One thing’s for sure: for EA to try and win the CFB community, they’ll have to do more than just introduce a digital shelf to hoist some London Bridge for terrestrial trophies. Well, it’s something to start with, perhaps.
