Fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons will have their hands full in the month of July, between the diving update arriving on the 3rd and all the new species of fish and bugs to catch. Today we will be going over each new critter arrival for the month, and just where to find them. \n \nUnfortunately for those in the Southern Hemisphere, there are absolutely no new bugs or fish coming in the next month. Soon, you guys will see some new animals returning, but until then try and content yourself with the upcoming update. \n \nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=z251xFiFbLU \n \nFISH \n \nNow for those in the Northern Hemisphere, starting with fish, there is a small variety of new faces to see swimming around your oceans and rivers. \n \n \tNorthern Hemisphere - Fish \n \tSweetfish - all-day in rivers (medium) \n \tNapoleonfish - 4 am to 6 pm in the sea (large) \n \tPufferfish - all-day in the sea (medium) \n \tBlue Marlin - all-day at the pier (large) \n \tOcean Sunfish - 4 am to 6 pm in the sea (large w\/ fin) \n \nThe most difficult of the lot this month will likely be the Blue Marlin, as it is the only location-specific fish. The best method to spawn this elusive critter is to hoard up on fish bait. If you keep using fish bait on the end of the pier, you can eventually spawn in a large shadow. If this shadow is a Marlin, congratulations! If not, rinse and repeat. \n \nBUGS \n \nThere are a ton of bugs to go over for this month in the Northern Hemisphere, as July is when the cicadas and beetles emerge. Make sure to go over this list thoroughly, as the sheer quantity of new arrivals will likely be the most difficult part. \n \nCicadas: \n \n \tBrown Cicada - 8 am - 5 pm on tree trunks \n \tRobust Cicada - 8 am - 5 pm on tree trunks \n \tGiant Cicada - 8 am - 5 pm on tree trunks \n \tEvening cicada - 4 am - 8 am\/4 pm- 7 pm on tree trunks \n \tCicada Shell - all-day on tree trunks \n \nBeetles: \n \n \tEarth-Boring Dung Beetle - all-day on the ground \n \tScarab Beetle - 11 pm - 8 am on tree trunks \n \tSaw Stag - all-day on tree trunks \n \tMiyama Stag - all-day on tree trunks \n \tGiant Stag - 11 pm - 8 am on tree trunks \n \nPalm-tree exclusives: \n \n \tBlue Weevil Beetle - all-day on palm tree trunks \n \tCyclommatus Stag - 5 pm - 8 am on palm tree trunks \n \tGolden Stag - 5 pm - 8 am on palm tree trunks \n \tGiraffe Stag - 5 pm - 8 am on palm tree trunks \n \tHorned Dynastid - 5 pm - 8 am on palm tree trunks \n \tHorned Atlas - 5 pm - 8 am on palm tree trunks \n \tHorned Elephant - 5 pm - 8 am on palm tree trunks \n \tHorned Hercules - 5 pm - 8 am on palm tree trunks \n \nMisc. \n \n \tGrasshopper - 8 am - 5 pm on the ground \n \tWalking Stick - 4 am - 8 am\/5 pm-7 pm on tree trunks \n \tWalking Leaf - all-day disguised as furniture leaves \n \nMake sure to nab all of these bugs before they’re gone! Certain additions will be gone after the end of the month, while some will stick around for the duration of the summer. Make sure to check back here before the start of August for an updated list.
