Bandai Namco unveiled a new Pac-Man World Re-PAC teaser that compares the graphics between the remastered version and the original release. The video demonstrates the game’s advancement from the 1999 debut of the PlayStation version.
On the original PlayStation, Pac-Man World introduced the popular video game character to the world of 3D, and the new remake attempts to recreate the original game’s atmosphere with all new graphics.
In a brand-new Pac-Man World: Re-Pac teaser, Bandai Namco emphasizes the visual differences between the remake and the original PlayStation game.
Pac-Man World Re-PAC launches for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on August 26, 2022. An upgraded Ghost Island will be included in the re-release of the vintage Pac-Man World, where Pac-Man must travel to find his family and friends.
The first two areas of the original Pac-Man World are contrasted with the new, upgraded versions in the most recent teaser for Pac-Man World: Re-Pac. Similar to Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, the gameplay mechanics have been improved while remaining authentic to the original.
The game’s original soundtrack is also seen to be included in the trailer for the updated version. However, because of ongoing copyright disputes with AtGames, some characters, including Ms. Pac-Man and Pac-Baby, were redrawn and given new names. Pac-Man Museum was also released with these character redesigns.
Three game types are available in Pac-Man World: Re-Pac: Quest, Maze, and Classic. The core plot of Pac-Man World: Re-quest Pac’s to protect everyone from ghosts is included in quest mode. A collection of 3D mazes are available for users to explore and complete in Maze Mode.
After finishing Quest Mode, Classic Mode unlocks the 1980s original Pac-Man game.
Fans of the original game may be assured that Pac-Man World: Re-Pac will deliver an authentic Pac-Man World experience. In addition, the updated version of Pac-Man features vibrant graphics appropriate for modern video games, allowing new players to start playing as Pac-Man immediately.
