So you think you have seen everything there is in GTA Online? Want to rethink that? A really rare viral clip arguably depicts the most absurd stunt ever in the decade-old Rockstar title: launching a car off a pier and having it land perfectly on a Submarine. Yes, that is exactly what it says.
The clip, posted first on Reddit by user TheRealMurda10k, shows a player racing down Del Perro Pier on what might be the modified vehicle, hitting the ramp just at the perfect angle to fly through the air and onto the submarine that was patiently awaiting below in the water. The whole physics-defying stunt has sparked tons of debate on whether this is the single best stunt ever executed in GTA Online or just another day in Los Santos.
Emergency reactions poured in from proverbial mouths of stunned players. One said, “yo that jump was clean af no cap,” while another cracked a joke, “Extremely rare footage of a Scramjet NOT landing in a body of water.” And from there came the Batman references from most users- “POV: Batman leaves Gotham,” one player quipped.
Not everyone is impressed. Veteran players came into the fray, stating that this stunt is no longer new. “This is several years old,” commented one, while another opined, “We’re back in the 2016-2019 era.” Then came the “Is it modded?” discussion, one onlookers stating with a smug air, “Of course it’s mod,” while others rallied that it is indeed possible in vanilla GTA Online.
If that is not mind-boggling enough, in the 12 years of existence, players still push the mechanics literally to the edge. “Love even after 12 years; people are still finding new tricks to do in gta5,” commented one. The stunt reignited debates on which insane vehicles and mechanics could or couldn’t make their way into GTA 6; one player hopes “that they don’t include these stupid type of vehicles and weapons in GTA 6 for a very, very long time.”
For those in doubt about how many attempts it took to pull off this stunt, well… let’s just say this player probably had a whole lot of time on his hands. The comments went wild. One commenter asked, “Wonder how many chances this took,” while another jokingly commented, “Bro Murda has been doing this shit so long, glad to see he’s finally getting the attention he deserves.”
Coolest thing ever or just everyday grind in GTA Online, one thing is sure-crafting for the community has no limits, from insane stunts to massive RP scenarios, the players keep finding new ways to keep this aging game alive. And with GTA 6 still an unknown how far away, clips like this will certainly fade over for many years. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off for the next 500 attempts of trying (and well, failing) to recreate this jump.
