Gears of War devs have dropped a break-the-world betateaser for all the souls grinding for their twos days in the weekend multiplayer: the beta has seen time extended and with two new modes added into the mix-Execution and King of the-Hill (KOTH). The community is freaking out. Well, at least…majority.:D

Simple and to the point, the official Gears of War account Tweeted about all the goodies: “We heard you. More maps. More modes. More time.” The more time indeed meant the extension of the beta, so now there is more time for grinding, testing, maybe for some rages, and probably against these wall bouncing foes.

But then, you know, there will always be some unsatisfied ones. The replies shared both excitement and sourness along with outright havoc. A few who appreciated said that the devs listened to them: “Thank you for listening and making positive adjustments. Excited to play this weekend đŸ’Ș,” while some had opinions about the mechanics of Gears: “I think wallbouncing is a corny mechanic that makes every clip look the same and boring af.”

So this The statement generated a never-ending debate lowty in the comment section. Gillcawk (@Gillcawk) shared his thoughts on wallbouncing: “Not be part of the games design yet they made wall bouncing more bouncy in the later games? If it wasn’t part of the games design then wouldn’t they make it harder to wall bounce? Insane take.” Meanwhile, MrGhOstDa2nd (@MrGhOstDa2nd) basically told Joat to go away: “Bro, play a different game then. That ain’t Gears.”

Classic Gears community.

The beauty of it, now with the extra content being thrown into the beta! Another fan favorite mode, Execution, where downed enemies stay down until they are executed (duh), will come back alongside KOTH, the mayhem-based objective mode that turns every single match into an all-out brawl for the capture point. More maps thrown in alongside that as well mean the players will get a little time experimenting with some strategies or just throwing it all to the wind and running around with Gnashers-to the complete best of all.

The problem now: Some players aren’t really buying it. JoV (@ItsJoVBaby): “How about just work on the new Gears? We tired of this old shit.” Fair. However, it was a definite win to Tom Andrews’s (@CarefreeTom_182) eyes: “Made my weekend. Thank you 😎.”

Next: More tech complaints. GunsteamV (@GunsteamV) goes to work on the devs: “Why does the game feel like its on host? Can we get some servers?” Meanwhile, Tim (@nitpicktim) begged: “Please eliminate the gamepass requirement for pc users!”

So, yeah, the beta gets an extension, new modes, and drama to go with. Whether you solemnly come for chaos now or just say it’s about reminiscing, one thing is for sure: Gears fans will never give up on their game.
