The frantic storm has been changing all Fortnite logos over this new emote drop featuring the legendary virtual idol Hatsune Miku herself. The emote, with Miku now possessing her own little can of something to drink, is fast becoming the thing every Fortnite fan wants to grab their hands on, while reactions have been pretty wild: some say it’s the peak, while others just cannot comprehend its bizarre inclusion. The typical Fortnite mayhem begins, with some falling for scams, others just left befuddled, and many more “roasting” the emote to oblivion.
Genuinely, it’s a very straightforward but very funny emote: Miku, in her turquoise twin-tails, possesses her can of soda for a swift sip while performing this wee dance. It seems to have the weird charm that only a Fortnite emote can muster. But then not everybody’s welcoming of it. Some players complained the song clip was too short, while others just gave up.” Miku, you can’t drink; you’re not old enough,” said an amused player. Yet, another player with a straighter perspective scoffed, “What’s the point of this edit?”
And then, of course, comes the typical Fortnite chaos. At least one player has gone on saying he was scammed after purchasing the emote—only for it to disappear from his locker contentiously along with the precious V-Bucks he fought hard to earn. Classic. Others, in the meantime, are dreaming of future collaborations and demanding Dragon Ball characters like Goku and Vegeta get their own emotes next. Then enters the meme-fest—with one player equating it to “competitive players with minis during endgames,” which is actually quite on point.
Then the question is, why Miku? Fortnite is no stranger to weird crossovers, but this one just feels especially random. Then again, that’s kinda the charm. Anarchy is what this game thrives on, and slipping in a virtual anime singer just adds to the recipe. Some players are already pairing the emote with a Hank from King of the Hill skin for an extra disgusting sort of absurdumption.
The actual emote is available in the shop now, and judging from the comments, things might be flying off the shelves. Love it, hate it, or don’t understand it, one certainty is that Fortnite is very much Интертейн-ing. Now, if only that song loop would get fixed.
Anyway, if you’re obsessed with bizarre, unexpected crossovers, this one’s for you. Or just in case you want to watch Miku vibing mid-match. It’s practically standard operating procedure in Fortnite-land: where nothing makes sense, and everything is a meme.
