The Fortnite Item Shop just dropped the latest update, and the Twitter world is already buzzing with opinions-hype, some disappointment, and sheer confusion Mixed with old-school return to new items, this one was not good in the books of many people.
Second thing second, there are actually 20 brand-new offerings in the shop, including a very niche choice like the Frost Incisors, which perplexed some players a little bit. BextoMoose said, “The hell are the Frost Incisors?” while another voice, TJ Carrillo, added that it was “garbage” given the absence of the Street Fighter skins highly requested by many. Ouch.
But it’s not all complaints. In fact, there is still some hope that some particular items will return. User mirahuiku begged for the Ratata emote, saying, “Ratata next epic please I love my babymetal,” while another player, bibieillish, speculated it might come back next month as per usual shop rotations. Yet Kayne Wurr (also AbracaDIVA) can not comprehend why there wasn’t even a Father’s Day section and asked if this was really the June 13th shop. Good question: Where’s the dad love, Epic?
The glitches have their time in the replies. TheParkSharkRay says the wave emote might be broken for some players. Sammy Richards came through with a fix for anyone on PS5 who was having voice chat and party join issues: “ANYONE NOT ABLE TO GET VOICE OR JOIN PARTY GLITCH ON PS5 ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS JOIN A FILL GAME AND EXIT AND TRY AGAIN IT’S WORKED FOR EVERYONE I GOT TO TRY IT!!!” All caps aside, that’s actually some useful information for anyone stuck in audio purgatory.
The mix of sarcasm and salt from here on. LegitTurbo called this “the weakest ItemShop dude,” whereas DeeFelt saracstically cheered, “A whopping 20 new offers…yaaaay.” eric (burrowgrande) also ragged on the shop and joked about Street Fighter skins never coming back. Harsh but hey, Fortnite players don’t stand down.
Epic sure knows perpetuate a conversation geared thither on its own, be it hype, frustration, or utter confusion. This time, the Item Shop might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but hopefully, with endless updates and stocks rotating, next week’s drop will be much better. Or else more memes if they fail again.
So, what’s the verdict? Frosty axes or one emote rewarding their patrons? If either is your jam, then the shop of today might have something for you. Otherwise, if you are waiting for the Street Fighter collabs or want more variety, keep those V-Bucks locked up for yet another day. Well, the Fortnite community marches on loud, messy, and endlessly entertaining-the way the game is.
