Fortnite had been beautiful contending the sprint of one of those tweets-they went, do players ever feel like going beast mode? The least that could be said is that the tweet was met with abuse. The community was venting, complaining, and feeling waves of nostalgic fury for the earlier incarnations of the game. How about instead of teasing buyers with that vague energy, Epic somehow gives us some Street Fighter skins and maybe some old pickaxe animations?

For starters, all Street Fighter lovers are in the thick of it. Many players, including Bea and nukumxe, requested or begged for Street Fighter skins to be released in the item shop. And honestly, it does make sense-it has been quite a bit of time since we had any fighting game collab here. Even Ironhaide1 was complimenting and trying to sweet talk the devs with a friendly “please.” But then VengefulSpork80 went for the jugular: “Stop putting fucking garbage in the item shop and bring back street fighter dude.” Oof.

Then we got the original movement guys. Starzx responded to that tweet: “No I just want og c4 season og movement BRING BACK OLD MOVEMENT,” and honestly? That sums it all up. The movement changes over the seasons have been… controversial, to put it mildly and vaguely. Some swear until this day that the old mechanics were going down smoothly while some others have more or less adopted (or surrendered). But that glue: yeshevsky yelling at the top of his lungs about the old pickaxe animation with full alarm emoji spam: “BRING BACK THE OLD PICKAXE ANIMATION 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨.” Now, it’s not even a request anymore: it’s a public announcement.

Now with all that ranked rewards drama? Darkness (aka InsaneSpyro) called out Fortnite for leaving ranked players hanging: “what me and my friend want is the ranked rewards we earned, now going into a 3rd season without them.” That is… quite rough. I mean, if you’re grinding for ranked, you kind of expect the ranked rewards to, you know, actually hand themselves over to you. Toni-Lee Donnelly stepped up with another dagger: “Legit, I’m convinced Fortnite doesn’t even wanna make money at this point.”

And the collab want list? Never stops. From Spider-Verse Jordans (shoutout to Triforce Master for reminding us daily) to God of War skins (mattyost1120 still awaiting), this is an endless wishlist. ClarkKent/Superman even hopped on with an entire dissertation on how they’d love to see Nightwing, Raven, and the rest of the Teen Titans. Like, bro wrote a full-blown proposal in the comments.

Among all that venom, FriedPicklesFPS gave vibe to the tweet: “Beast mode is like playing sports and feeding off the crowd, you know?” A rare wholesome moment in the midst.

The takeaway? Fortnite players are passionate loudmouths, and they’re VERY particular about what they want. Anything old-school features, sick crossovers, or just a working item shop – the community is never done with its feedback. Will Epic listen? Could be, shall the gods smile upon them. Still, we’ll probably never be factions.

And if you’re reading this, Epic… please, throw us a bone with those Street Fighter skins. Literally just saying.
