Calling all Fortnite players, brace yourselves for some truly wild item shop leaks. Imagine some iconic emotes, some new, some old, some very bizarre crossovers, and a whole lot of summer vibes. Oh, yes, there will be a Giant Chicken from Family Guy! Why not?
To begin with, the showstopper–The Giant Chicken from Family Guy will be coming to Fortnite. No, we really do not jest. Yes, the very same chicken who has been cheek-by-jowl brawling with Peter Griffin for an eternity will now grace your emote park. And, as if that is not weird enough, we will also see Snoop Dogg’s “I Cadillac” emote. The pop culture chaos of the Fortnite item shop has always been something of a charm, honestly! We love it.
It gets better. Invincible will be bringing more skins for another round, if one good thing to hear from fans of this superhero series. You missed it last time? Time to grab it this time around. And the Summer Shop will be refreshed three times, apparently, so get set for some beachy and sun-kissed cosmetics. There’s also going to be four Battle Ready Bundles up for grabs. Whether you’re searching for tactical garb or something outright gaudy, this pretty much has to be for you.
Now on to reactions; of course, the Fortnite community had thoughts. Many were excited about the Invincible return, with one asking if anybody had read the comics (@agent64209). Others were calling for Street Fighter skins, especially Cammy (@cerealandwater_). And then there was @GenjiPizza1531, still shook that a sneak-peek of an Omni-Man image got leaked. Classic Fortnite chaos.
Of course, not all were pleased. @guccione_ape straight-up said: “No one wants to buy this stuff,” which…ouch.
