The entire world stands at a halt with the announcement that the Iridia Vayne Outfit will be given away on May 23rd at 9 AM ET. But…Let’s just say the public by no means was united in its excitement about this. Some are pumped; there’s really no middle ground. Oh, the reactions are scary.
First, the event is just too cool; finish your quests with your friends for the cosmic rewards, which include the Iridia Vayne skin. But there is where the real drama begins: in the replies to the tweet announcing same. One @Beat0000000 called the skin outright: “Garbage,” demanding “a beautiful attractive aesthetic woman skin instead.” Ouch. Another user @esquimodeverao, however, was filled with heart-eyes, commenting, “so beautiful skin, my gosh.” This is really polarizing.
Then, the much older Fortnite problem kicks in: what if you’re alone? @Ghost966837: “But I have no one Fortnite.” Big mood. Again, another user, @sleepyepona, can’t even begin to entertain the idea, since their partner is away on vacation. The very opposite, though, @ExVd_ seemingly found the best solo choice: “Gonna run 1 afk endurance with my alt.” Genius or tragic? You decide.
The skin itself is… well, let’s just say it’s a good one for arguments and chatter. @Hero190909 went through the thick and thin and said: “That’s an ugly ass skin.” In contrary, @p1nkponygirl went ahead and labelled herself as a ‘fashion police’ and started dissing the designers for having “pink eyebrows and blue lipstick.” You can guess where she lost her mind when she started throwing around concepts like a “70’s lady with yellow lipstick.” Most definitely, this is Epicendential Miss for today.
But hey, not everybody’s bashing it. Our boys @Rayrift701 and @F_Candy_119 are vibing and hyping each other up in those replies. Meanwhile, @ftheoppressor is shocked that Save the World got mentioned even before Rocket Racing. Priorities, right?
And then there’s the kind of arbitrary chaos that @r89939896 throws into the fray, demanding better iPhone graphics, because Fortnite “looks strange with those Free Fire graphics.” And @OCTANE_6782 wants Epic to fix the bugs in Ballistic Ranked. Same, dude. Same.
Anyway, regardless of how you feel about the skin, Iridia Vayne is in now, with Celestial Strike. So, grab a squad or just your alt account and farm those quests till it hurts; maybe you’ll come around to liking this skin. Or you’ll just put it up in the Item Shop. Either way, Fortnite wins, always-the-discussion-maker.
