Calling all Fortnite gamers! It’s the time to dig into those wallets because the two most-asked packs are about to make a comeback tonight. Put back in the item shop after what looked like an infinite absence from it, Anime Legends and Final Reckoning bundles are about to return. Anime Legends is said not been in the shop for 537 days, while Final Reckoning is away for 166. Price-wise, Anime Legends pack is sold for $23, while Final Reckoning goes for $17. And, naturally, opinions came from the community.
First comes a little explanation of why these packs matter. Anime Legends is just what the name implies: a bundle of anime-style skins that feel somewhat different for anyone who has a liking of that style. Final Reckoning is a more sinister post-apocalyptic warrior style. The type of skins that are in very hot demand right now, given that Fortnite’s collabs and original skins are leaning hard in this direction.
But then some folks are just not happy about them. A few comments under the announcement Tweet show pure salt. One player named @UnhingedFN called the packs “zzzzz” and demanded something new. @mybudshadow, on the other hand, said, “$23 (USD) for a Fortnite pack is crazy dude…” which is fair. Then, @Android_No23 said, “At least it doesn’t cost $28 like the Guardians of the Galaxy bundle did.” Oof.
Then there are those begging other skins to return to the shop. @aryan15309 asked about Ash Williams and Sarah Connor: “It’s been so long.” Joined the complaints for Terminator to make a comeback were @nico_mikox and @TiTanSwan27, while @plooplyy was struggling asking, “anyone know when adventure time is coming backðŸ˜.” The struggle is real when your fave skins are in a vault.
Not to mention the Kratos stans. @Thepikagamer6 mentioned that God of War was delisted from the API last year, triggering a whole conspiracy theory that Sony pulled their collabs in favor of their live-service game plans. @RenclawFN then went on with lore, comparing it with how Warner Bros. pulled DC skins until their own live-service game flopped. Drama? In my Fortnite? Always.
While @ScoSlashy and @agent_Kendo harvest hype-fueled frustration and confusion for Ash Williams and a new Mandalorian skin, respectively.
And here is the kicker: Epic knows what they are up to. It’s no instance that these packs are getting their return right now. With Chapter 5 Season 3 already in full swing, the post-apocalypse gore is letting loose, which is basically Final Reckoning territory. As for Anime Legends itself, their anime collabs (big shout-out to Dragon Ball and Naruto) have been printing money, so why not go for it?
So, yeah, if you were waiting on these packs, tonight is your night. If not? Well, it’s always open for demands. Just do not expect Epic to really listen right away—unless you want Peely, of course. That skin’s comeback is way more frequent than my ex.
