PlayStation just dropped the tweet to scratch a lot of heads among the entire gaming population. The tweet itself consists of a cryptic message: “Fighting?Fighting.Good?Good”-with-a-clip. Nothing point that puts the title or context to it. Thus began the online engagement with theorizing what it could really be teasing.
The clip shows snow and mountain terrains with terrific fighting-small guys-fur coats, brutal melee hits, and sort of crossbows with bells(??). The guys were few, but one phrase resonated through the lands: “Freya: He will die by the hand of Kratos.” From there, an absolute mayhem followed, with some placing guesses about new God of War Ragnarök DLC and others on the very sequel itself.
Now came the muddled part. Yet, most fans agree that it is actually Ghost from Yōtei, which is alleged to be a title set in Japan with a mercenary protagonist. Others throw in crazier bets with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which is French-developed and looks of its kind. Another faction supports Assassins Creed Valhalla just because, you know, snow, and fur.
The replies will scream theories at you. Grok went full almost-Shirlock Holmes-muting scrutinizing each frame and each snippet of dialogue before siding with God of War Ragnarök. To which Euyen replied back, “Wrong again! It’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33,” making everyone laugh back and forth. Midway through, many chuckled along, while others were like “I woke up to find someone in a full-blown battle with Grok lmfao.”
The Bloodborne fans, still hiding in the shadows, are replying, “Yeah cool, so about Bloodborne…” Because those would never miss an opportunity to remind Sony that they exist.
There’s no confirmation from PlayStation yet, and the fans are still playing guesswork. Is this a tease of an unannounced game? For a DLC expansion? Or maybe just Sony for the hell of it? Either way, all of this hype has turned everyone insane.
The only thing for sure is, Sony will be anything but vague for one night-and honestly? We would not have it any other way. Now excuse us while we rewatch this clip for the fiftieth time to see if we can spot anything.
What do you think? God of War? Ghost of Yōtei? Or something else really? Drop all your theories below because the debate is far from over.
(But damn, Sony, give us the answer already.)
