The newer Fortnite skin Mr. Agent Spider being so viral has actually taken the whole world crazy. On the more dastardly side of things, there is the usual story: Some say it is a direct ripoff of Spider-Man; others beg Epic to do real collabs, while many others are just genuinely confused about what is there in front of them.
Recently, it hopped into the Item Shop with its fancy black-and-red rendition of a masked hero, and immediately it drew the minds of the player towards Marvel’s wall-crawling web-slinger. But nah. It is just…Agent Spider. So, sure. On an honest note, the similarity is just too blatant; hence the fans have been describing this skin itself as “Spider-Man from Temu,” just as one user put it; another added, “Temu/Dollar store Spider-Man!! 😂😂” Ouch.
Though, not all haters. The players have been excitedly screaming, “WOAH I NEED HIM,”with another one saluting Epic for “another amazing skin drop.” So yeah: mixed reactions.
The real question is—why does Epic keep dropping these suspiciously familiar-looking skins instead of just bringing back the real deal? Another player justly nails: “Prime example of Why collabs sell better than Epic’s own designs 🤷” And honestly? They’re not wrong. Fortnite’s collabs (Spider-Man, Invincible, Star Wars, etc.) always get on the hype train while original skins like this one just… Um, get memed.
Now somebody wanted Invincible upon seeing this “Invincible is so goated 😭,” which isn’t quite right but we get the confusion.
Others started campaigning for their favorite skins to come back, with questions: “When will T800 skin return?” and “Where is Anakin????” Because seemingly, no skin drop is ever complete without demands for Star Wars skin content.
Suddenly, up the Twitter of Fortnite erupted with unrelated randomness—just like that one-in-a-lifetime guy sliding into HYPEX’s DMs asking for free V-Bucks (“Dm me if you wanna give me vbucks for this bundle”). Bold move.
Is Agent Spider really worthy of all the hype? It depends on whom you ask. If you love a sleek, mysterious hero design, then yes. If not, just know your hopes of a real Spider-Man got dashed to dust. With that said, it is just another day in the Fortnite Item Shop circus-heavy with skin drops, memes, and somebody asking about LeBron James.
What’s next? Only knowing it will be a good one. Maybe another collab from Epic. Or maybe Agent Batman next. At this point, nothing really shocks us anymore.
