Fortnite has its gamers in an uproar after @BeastFNCreative dropped a rather cryptic tweet hinting at a fresh mini-event in the next update. The message read along the lines of “NEW MINI EVENT DROPPING NEXT UPDATE,” captioned to an image that set this bunch of community members into a frenzy. However, not all in this community truly believe it to be genuine.

The image suggests that an event is underway in the game, and reactions have been wide-ranging. While some are hyped, others are confused, and there are still some downright skeptical. @JMystic9 threw out the significant question, “Why use an old image?” while @za_CircoBain added that the screenshot probably “might be from a completely different map and chapter.” Oh, no!

The answers have since grown into an unruly mix of hysteria, jokes, and demands with @Vo1dSuper crying for an already-zoned-out farewell to the “Replay Last Emote,” claiming to be the only one who actually cares-mood. Meanwhile, @abzu235 says it in the simplest, most direct way-with his desperation for some new content: “when is the update, the game’s dry af.” Same, bruh.

Then, for the record, the speculation goes off-rails. @pimpinpots chimes in with a big shout: “GREEK THEME PART 2?!” Some think this is all about Street Fighter, with those skins alleged to be on the way. @skrafnakis would actually quit the game if the Street Fighter update gets canceled-drama!

Well, of course, a Fortnite leak cannot even come close to being a real leak without some crazy speculations thrown into the mix. @The_fireking5 jokingly said it’s for Among Us; @FroGGGyG, straight-faced, declared it for Mario Kart; while @The_Real_Takkar was all up there confidently: “It’s for Carnivores 2.” Yeah, right.

But beyond the memes, some players actually do wonder about what’s in store. @ash1ieee entertains the idea that the mini-event could be a gateway to a bigger finale for Season 3, while @Reapavon_ wants to remind folks that “Chapter 6 is the best.” There they go again.

As for the drop date? Not yet; though, @ryangosling4532 did casually say “18th,” so… should we mark our calendars? Possibly?

What is for sure: Fortnite updates are always chaotic acts, whether it is about new content, returning content, or players arguing down in the comment. Do you know what? We would never ask for any differently.

So make sure you keep your eyes glued; if history is anything to go by, the unexpected surprises will be thrown by Epic. And if this mini-event turns out anything like the ones before, then it is going to be a blast. Or at least, some new fodder for us to argue about.
