One of the recent insane upsets Esports Wolves have so beautifully managed to seal, sending Gen.G to the losers bracket and pushing Wolf to win in the finals of the winners bracket. It was beyond madness: the Wolves somehow managed to claw their way out of a 9-3 advantage. You heard it right; after that moment, they brutally demolished their competition during the final rounds.
What was happening was absolutely tremendous, and all the players kept talking about how Wolves carried this incredible aura. Siufat basically cultivated enough confidence for himself as if it were a stat boost and went charging forward on what fans are publicly dubbing as “pure cinema.” Fans in the replies are going crazy; some of them even calling it a “9-3 curse” comeback, while others are just screaming in full caps about how hugh the match was.
But, no, not everyone was celebrating. It felt gravely crushing for the Gen.G support base as they rued the downfall of Foxy9 to lose in such a formation so early in the competition (major oops). Then the salty CS2 fans decided to weigh in with their “nobody cares” take; fine, but if you don’t care, what brings you here?
It was all momentum for the Wolves. Even those who doubted them initially are now forced to acknowledge that they have gotten better since those last matches. A good fan summarized it thus: “From players’ form to coaches’ strats, they’re evolving mid-tournament.” With performances like this, these Wolves are seriously eyeing that trophy.
Of course, picks disagreed: “F*** your pick’ems,” screamed one fan, pretty much summarizing the mood. Then there were others just happy to witness history—labeling this match as “super debelo bebe” (roughly translating to “insanely good” if you’re not fluent in hype-speak).
With the winners’ bracket finals locked in, Wolves are on a high ride, while Gen.G has some serious fighting ahead of themselves to battle through the lower bracket. This must surely be a melting pot of entertainment.
If you missed it on the broadcast, go watch the VOD; trust me; you might want to see this one before the next match is underway.
