Okay, Fortnite players; strap in-the skin is getting released in the next update. And the twist is: This one will not be another recycled leak from last season, with Epic Games throwing in a new golden style for this season. Yes, golden.

The skin was leaked during the last season, and Esperados players have had to wait in vain for an official release. Now, slyly, Epic even confirmed it by featuring the skin in the Blitz Royale key art.

Well, let’s say it is starting to stir up some drama among the community. Some excitedly proclaim it to be “sick” and “legendary,” while… well, let’s just say others aren’t really impressed. One person clowned it as a “cheap Dr Doom knock-off,” while another said, “Why? It’s sht.” That actually hurts.

It seems that the golden style is the one option that might save the situation. It might finally convince some of the doubters that this is fire. Or, at least, a little bit of what we can call fire.

And here is where things start to get messy. Replying within the announcement tweet are players passing nasty comments, such as “ugly and fat,” while others are just begging Epic to drop the Street Fighter collab already. Like, excuse me? When are we getting Ryu into the game?

There was some confusion as well on how to get this skin. “Saw this skin a few weeks ago, how do you get it??” a player questioned. Another insisted they found a bot using it in-game. So, is it out already? Is this like some secret early access thing? Who knows. Epic works in mysterious ways.

Not to mention the players who are three days into theorizing, insisting this must be the new ranked reward skin. Could be. Wouldn’t be the first time Epic dropped a banger for the competitive crowd.

End of the day: You either love it or you hate it. But it’s coming regardless. The golden style might drag the skin “out of fire” for a few detractors. Or it might not. Fortnite players are truly a hard crowd.

So, again, stay tuned for the next update. Dusk Knight or nah? Skin wars still raging, though.

And the upside? At least it’s not another banana suit.
