Disrespect, a two-time Blockbuster Video Game Champion powered with winning streaks, would take the opportunity to go on triple-XP chaos on Star Wars Battlefront 2. The Doc only announced the stream half an-hour before the actual stream commenced, giving it that customary enormous level of enthusiasm. Hype ensued, memes flew in every direction; let it be known that the internet indeed goes crazy every time the Doc hits the streaming platform.

It was pure Doc: outlandish, brash, and dripping with VSM energy. “Welcome to the Doc Side of the Force,” he marketed as he teased all about the triple XP event while asking players themselves for their favorite loadouts to wipe the galaxy clean in no time. When the Doc is playing, he doesn’t really play for fun-he plays to win.

Responses were legendary: from hardcore suggestions with most anxious throws of loadouts to ZEIKBOMB, who actually gave full builds for all classes of Assault, Heavy, Officer, and Specialist. Memes started flowing from the likes of BlasphemousAF, joking about Count Dooku’s excuse through the Force for what can only be called a capacity-building accident. Haters like DogeCheemy began trying to dredge up past drama (so dull) before being quickly ratio’d by the most loyal Champions Club.

Which is really every single person’s question: why has Battlefront 2 been receiving this much talk lately? Dan Jericho Pellagatti bluntly came out with that question: “Why is Battlefront 2 suddenly the coolest game ever??” Honestly? It deserves it. The game was met with such denigration (understatement of the century), but with years of updates, a loyal playerbase, and of course, the stamp of approval by the Doc, the thing is having a real big resurgence. Triple XP weekends can’t hurt, either.

Not everyone, however, was cheering for him. “This isn’t COD, don’t bring that toxic sweatiness to the Battlefront community,” DopestVillain replied. It would be the Doc for sure, though, if anyone was really going to sweat it out in a Star Wars-branded game. It’s his way. And judging by some of the responses, it seemed a few players were pretty eager to see him bringing his kind of mayhem to a galaxy far far away.

Meanwhile, some fans were just glad to see the Doc changing it up a little. GZ_vodka tweeted: “No offence to Viss but this is what I want to watch,” so essentially making a side reference to the Doc’s usual Warzone streams. And honestly? Same. There’s just something magical about watching the two-time shred through Stormtroopers just like he does in any other game.

Loadout suggestions for the Doc were given by Stuart DeViva, who himself recommended the Mythic E-11D/Jawa Scatter Blaster combo, among more tactical suggestions for co-op and Galactic Assault. Whether he ever even gives one a try is an entirely different story. Ninja Hungry’s style of play is… a mystery. But on one thing: no regret has ever been expressed by anybody who has ever sat down and watched him live.

If you missed that stream? You missed out. Judging by how things are going, Doc will most certainly be back in Battlefront soon again anyway. When he does, it goes without saying that the Champions Club will show up to dominate the Doc Side of the Force because no one does it better. NOT A SINGLE ONE.
