Bend Studio’s students issued a rallying cry to the players of Days Gone Remastered, and well, people were all mad now. Players had been asked to share their best Photo Mode captures on social media using the hashtag #DaysGoneRemastered, and wow, they sure did deliver some epic shots. We have landscapes that are simply to die for and insane action shots that are a tribute to the creativity of the community. Of course, there is some hype, a few demands, and… a little chaos, as is the case with any fan interaction.

So far, so good with the visuals. To tell the truth, this has simply been a hit in the acceptance of Days Gone Remastered Photo Mode. We have light piercing out of misty foggy trees; we have close-ups of Deacon St. John looking like days were not good in these circumstances of a zombie apocalypse. An image with a heart emoji as caption was sent out by @javysouls- sometimes words are simply not necessary. Likewise, @Yen_de_Rivie posted an exquisite nature shot from a lake. Safe to say, without the bike and all the… post-apocalyptic vibes, this would have been a nice serene shot.

But hey, what is gaming Twitter if not some demands? And oh, those demands are rolling in like mad. A good chunk of the replies? Straight-up begging for Days Gone 2. @Schlachtor kept it simple with the unsubtle, “Now give us Days Gone 2.” @Texalogic was even shorter: “Days Gone 2 please!” The fact that the love for this universe hasn’t faded since Sony hasn’t approved a sequel anyway speaks for itself.

Aside from that, some are calling for practical improvements. @ChefLieu50 wants DualSense support on PC. @Shade_Ro1, meanwhile, suffers from bugs so severe it’d break the fun and, in those same words, begs for assistance. And then there is this one guy who’s just looking for a firm answer: “@AlanGhoul6995 When you guys planning release PS5 physical version? Please just give me an answer.” Spoiler: They never got one from Bend.

Not everyone was pleased with the affair. @radwan330 did not mince words: “I regret purchasing the game,” while @raccioly elaborated on their own reasons for holding off on the remaster for now. That upgrade price, apparently, just stuck the knife in.

Therefore, it is the creativity that steals the show. @JohnnyBeeGoodD shared a shot so well done that it should be used as a phone wallpaper. @ObsessedGeorge went all poetic, comparing Deacon’s love for Sarah to that which fans have for the game… and for a sequel. And then there is @MaestroMorrison, who… well, let’s just say fishing was not what the screenshot was about

So, what happens next? More photos. Maybe a few patches. And, if the fans get their way, the announcement of Days Gone 2. Meanwhile, all the magic—whether beautiful, chaotic, or just the sight of Deacon looking rough—is happening on the #DaysGoneRemastered tag.
